Back to School

Today is the return to school for most children in England.

The start for some will be delayed whilst their school organise testing for Covid-19. For the rest, it’s back to school after months at home.

Outdoor after school sports activities are also now allowed. Children can burn off their energy after being cooped up inside over much of the winter.

For most separated parents this means a return to normal patterns of caring for their children. Some parents may want to change the arrangements.

We always advise that communication between parents is key. If you don’t want to return to the previous pattern of care, or perhaps you can’t for good reason, then try and discuss this with the other parent.

Make sure these conversations take place away from the children. Try and stick to the issue in hand. Avoid personal comments or barbs directed at the other parent.

If you need advice on the care of your children and how to manage this, or want assistance in communicating with the other parent, please contact us on office@childreninthemiddle.co.uk or 0117 214 1797.
