Barristers’ Register

You can search the Barristers’ Register on the Bar Standards Board’s website. This shows (a) whether a barrister has a current practising certificate, and (b) whether a barrister has any disciplinary findings, which are published on the Bar Standards Board’s website in accordance with their policy.

Legal Ombudsman

On the Legal Ombudsman’s website you can search the decision data.

This shows any barrister who was subject to the Ombudsman’s decision in the previous 12 months, and whether the Ombudsman required the barrister to give the client a remedy.
